UNILAG to Host 4th International Week, to Feature Energy Innovation Challenge

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) will host an Energy Innovation Challenge on October 21, 2024, as part of its 4th International Week. Thirteen teams from five Nigerian universities will compete for cash prizes totaling N3 million, with the top three winners announced during the International Week's opening ceremony on October 22.

UNILAG to Host 4th International Week, to Feature Energy Innovation Challenge

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) is set to kick off its 4th International Week with an exciting Energy Innovation Challenge on Monday, October 21, 2024. The event will take place at 10 a.m. in the Design Studios of the Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS) on the Main Campus in Akoka.

The challenge will feature 13 teams from five Nigerian universities, each comprised of four student innovators and a mentor. These teams will compete for the top three positions, vying for cash awards totaling up to N3,000,000 (Three Million Naira). The awards will be presented to the winners during the formal opening ceremony of the 4th International Week and the 17th Annual Research Conference, scheduled for Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 10 a.m. at the Tayo Aderinokun Lecture Theatre, UNILAG.

The Energy Innovation Challenge is organized by the Innovation and Technology Management Office (ITMO-UNILAG) in collaboration with the UNILAG Fabrication Laboratory (UNILAG FABLAB) and is funded by the African Engineering and Technology (AFRETEC) Network.
