The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) has pledged its support for the newly established African University of Aviation in Nigeria, promising to secure necessary funds for infrastructural and research facilities. This commitment was made by TETFUND's Executive Secretary, Sonny Echono, during a meeting with the Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, and university leadership at the fund's headquarters in Abuja.

Echono praised Minister Keyamo for his dedication and relentless efforts to ensure the successful launch of the institution. He emphasized TETFUND's intention to provide both regular and special intervention funds, as well as assistance in architectural design, to help the university meet international standards as a specialized institution.

The Executive Secretary assured the minister that he would communicate their funding requests to TETFUND's board, underlining the critical role of the African University of Aviation in bolstering Nigeria's aviation sector and overall economic growth.

Minister Keyamo, in his remarks, expressed gratitude to Echono for his instrumental role in the establishment of the university during his tenure as permanent secretary in the federal ministry of education. He highlighted the importance of TETFUND's assistance in facilitating the university's transition to a permanent site.

As the new aviation varsity takes flight, the collaboration between TETFUND and the Ministry of Aviation aims to position the institution as a key player in the development of Nigeria's aviation industry.
