The University of Lagos (UNILAG) continued to spotlight its commitment to groundbreaking research as the second day of the 17th Annual Research Conference and 4th International Week unfolded on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. The event drew scholars from around the globe, fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration aimed at driving innovation.

Professor Bolanle Oboh, UNILAG’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics and Research), emphasized the significance of this academic convergence, which merges global perspectives with local research to enhance knowledge exchange and expand research visibility. In her opening remarks, Professor Oboh underscored that the conference serves as more than a routine annual gathering but as a vibrant platform for scholars to refine their research through critical feedback and networking.

The day was packed with a variety of presentations, including discussions on sustainable business practices, AI-powered mental health solutions, and the economic impact of Nigerian recidivism. One standout presentation explored the use of Green Human Resource Management for organizational sustainability, while another examined the intersection of digital transformation and healthcare in Nigeria.

Beyond individual presentations, undergraduates actively participated, reflecting the institution’s dedication to nurturing the next generation of researchers. The event culminated in a poster competition, where researchers had the opportunity to engage with judges and peers, fine-tuning their methodologies.
