In a bid to ensure academic integrity and a smooth examination process, the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi has highlighted key guidelines that all students must adhere to during examinations, as detailed in its Students Handbook.
The 15 ethical guidelines cover various aspects of examination conduct, from punctuality to identification and the handling of personal materials within the examination hall.
Key Examination Guidelines:

Punctuality is Key: Students are required to be in the examination room at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. Late arrivals will not be granted extra time beyond the scheduled duration of the examination.

Personal Responsibility: Students must bring their own pens, pencils, calculators, rulers, and other necessary materials. Borrowing from fellow students is strictly prohibited unless authorized by the invigilator.

Latecomers and Entry Restrictions: Students who arrive more than 30 minutes after the start of the examination may be allowed entry at the invigilator’s discretion but will not receive additional time.

No Personal Bags or Briefcases: Bags, briefcases, and other personal items are not permitted in or near the examination hall, ensuring that no unauthorized materials are brought in.

Leaving the Examination Hall: Students are not allowed to leave the hall until at least 30 minutes into the examination, and they cannot exit within 15 minutes of the exam's conclusion. Any student leaving the hall must submit their examination script before departure.
