The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) is celebrating a remarkable achievement in research excellence, with 31 faculty members recognized for their groundbreaking contributions to academia. These distinguished individuals have been acknowledged for publishing as lead authors in top-tier journals (Q1) between October 2020 and October 2023.

In recognition of their outstanding efforts, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Wahab Egbewole, SAN, announced cash rewards to honor their achievements. Each publication in a First Quartile Journal during the specified period will receive a cash reward of ₦50,000.

The announcement took place during a special gathering held at the Council Chambers on Friday, April 12, 2024. This event served as a platform to celebrate the academic prowess and dedication of these esteemed faculty members who have significantly contributed to advancing knowledge in their respective fields.
