Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso (LAUTECH) celebrated its 16th convocation ceremonies with 153 graduands bagging first-class degrees for the 2022/2023 academic session. The total number of graduands stood at 8,533, including Master Oladoja Israel Ololade, who emerged as the Overall Best Student with a remarkable CGPA of 4.86 from the Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology.

Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu, highlighted the university's commitment to dynamic academic programs. He noted that the convocation included students from two separate sessions due to academic calendar disruptions from the previous year.

Professor Kalilu opened the week-long event on behalf of the Chancellor, His Royal Majesty Ohna Sergeant Chidi Awuse, the Paramount Ruler of Emuoha Kingdom. He detailed the breakdown of the graduands across various degree classifications, emphasizing the achievements of the top-performing students.

Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of LAUTECH Governing Council, Professor Ayodeji Omole, praised the graduands for their dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence. He encouraged them to carry forward the values of knowledge, integrity, and service as they embark on new journeys.

Master Oladoja Israel Ololade attributed his success to dedication, commitment, and focused study habits. He expressed gratitude to God and his parents for their unwavering support throughout his academic journey. Despite facing challenges during his early years, he dedicated several hours daily to personal studies, shunning distractions to excel academically.

In his remarks, Master Ololade encouraged fellow students to prioritize their studies and remain focused on their academic goals.
