The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released its latest list of the most preferred universities in Nigeria for the 2024 academic year. According to the report, the University of Ilorin, the University of Lagos, and Lagos State University top the list, attracting the highest number of applications from prospective students.

The University of Ilorin emerged as the most sought-after institution with 64.143 applicants, reflecting its growing reputation for academic excellence and a conducive learning environment. The Lagos State University (LASU) ranked second with 62,601 applicants and University of Lagos (UNILAG) ranked third with 59,105, showcasing its appeal to students within and outside Lagos State.
