The University of Ilorin is gearing up for the fourth edition of Pitch-a-Ton, an inter-tertiary institution advertising pitch competition, slated for February 26, 2024. Organized by the Department of Mass Communication, the event aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice in advertising, with a focus on unraveling the complexities of AI’s disruptive role in the industry.
Initiated by Dr. Kehinde Kadiri, a seasoned PR and advertising professional, Pitch-a-Ton has evolved into a platform for nurturing creativity and innovation among students of Public Relations and Advertising (PRAD) sequence. From its humble beginnings with three competing institutions in 2019 to its current stature involving nine institutions, the event has become a catalyst for entrepreneurial growth and innovative advertising concepts.

With 16 schools invited to participate, students are encouraged to challenge conventions, redefine boundaries, and foster an ecosystem where ideas flourish.
