UNIMAID Community Mourns Passing of MSSN Official and Sociology Graduate Khadija Tijjani Titima

The University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) community and the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) are in mourning following the announcement of the passing of Khadija Tijjani Titima.

Ms. Titima was a dedicated student leader and a recent graduate of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, having completed her studies during the 2024/2025 academic session. Until her passing, she served as the Assistant Fund Raising official for the MSSN, where she was recognized for her commitment to student welfare and religious activities.

The news was formally announced by Yusuf Muhammad, the Ameer (President) of the Sociology and Anthropology student body for the 2024/2025 session. In a statement reflecting the somber mood of the department, he described her as a valued colleague and a diligent official whose contributions to the union were significant.

"With deep sorrow and submission to the will of Allah, we announce the passing of our mate and official, Khadija Tijjani Titima," the statement read.

Colleagues and students have begun offering prayers and condolences, describing the late graduate as a promising individual with a heart for service. Burial arrangements are expected to follow in accordance with Islamic rites.
