In a recent meeting with Yan Yuging, the Consul General of the People's Republic of China, Prof. Georgewill discussed potential areas for collaboration between UNIPORT and the Chinese Consulate. The meeting, which took place at the consulate's office, was aimed at exploring opportunities for academic and practical engagement.

Prof. Georgewill shared his satisfaction with the discussions on his social media page, detailing the key topics covered. He stated, “University of Port Harcourt Collaborates with the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China: we met Yan Yuging the Consul General to discuss possible areas of collaboration between the University and the Consulate General. We discussed extensively on the creation of a China Corner, skill acquisition workshop laboratory, cataract surgery support, and linkage with tertiary institutions in China. We thanked the Consul General for the opportunity given to us and consensus reached on the discussions.”
