The University of Abuja has issued a stern warning to its community and the general public about a fraudulent Facebook profile purporting to be that of the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Aisha Sani Maikudi. The university has identified the fake account as https://web.facebook.com/aisha.maikudi.2024, cautioning everyone against engaging with it.

In an official statement, the university emphasized that this fraudulent account has been created with the intent to deceive and defraud unsuspecting individuals. "We wish to inform members of the University community and the general public to beware of the account, which has been set up to deceive and defraud unsuspecting members of the public," the statement read.

The university made it clear that anyone who engages in business or transactions with the owner of this fraudulent account does so at their own risk. To avoid any confusion, the university also provided the official and authentic Facebook account of the Acting Vice-Chancellor, which is https://web.facebook.com/aisha.maikudi and has only 291 friends so far.
