In a bid to bolster agricultural practices and enhance food production in rural communities, the University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (UAES) Umuagwo, Imo State, took a proactive step as its esteemed Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Christopher Eze, spearheaded a delegation of agricultural experts to the Diocese of Okigwe South for the launch of the 2024 planting season.

The event, which unfolded on the 9th of February, 2024, at Mount Olive Secondary School, Umuezeala Nsu, Ehime Mbano LGA, witnessed the convergence of farmers, parishioners, and dignitaries from diverse backgrounds. Prof. Eze commended the Anglican Diocese of Okigwe South for orchestrating the program aimed at bolstering crop production and enlightening rural farmers.
