University of Ibadan Extends Congratulations and Appreciation to Muslim Community on Completion of Ramadan
Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, extends congratulations to the University's Muslim community and Muslims at large for completing the holy month of Ramadan.
In a special release dated April 8, 2024, titled "VALUES WITHIN REACH," Professor Kayode O. Adebowale, Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, conveyed heartfelt congratulations to the University's Muslim community and all Muslims on the successful conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan.
Ramadan, regarded as one of the most significant tests of a Muslim's obedience, self-discipline, and compassion for others, was highlighted as a period that embodies virtues crucial for societal development. Professor Adebowale emphasized the importance of these virtues, which he noted are often perceived as elusive in contemporary society but are indeed attainable by individuals. He lauded the Muslim community for demonstrating these virtues throughout Ramadan, indicating that they serve as shining examples for all.
Furthermore, the Vice Chancellor expressed a hope that the embodiment of such virtues would contribute to the realization of national development goals, making it clear that these values are not distant ideals but tangible attributes that can be embraced by all.
