University of Ilorin Issues Press Release on Fatal Campus Bus Accident
The University Management extends condolences to the deceased’s family and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured.

The University of Ilorin has announced a motor accident that occurred on campus this afternoon. The incident involved a commercial bus carrying ten passengers leaving the campus.
Immediately after the accident, the University Management initiated rescue operations, and all victims were taken to the University Health Centre. Medical personnel provided initial treatment, with one individual requiring advanced care and being referred to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) after stabilization.
Four victims with minor injuries were treated and discharged. Five individuals, including two males, two females, and the driver, remain under care at the University Health Centre. Unfortunately, one victim was declared dead on arrival and has been moved to the morgue. The University is working to contact the next of kin.
