University of Maiduguri Demonstration Secondary School Students Receive Accolades for Debate Competition Win

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri, Professor Mohammed Laminu Mele, congratulated students and staff of the University of Maiduguri Demonstration Secondary School (UDSS) on their outstanding performance in a recent debate competition.

The competition, organized by a non-governmental organization (NGO) in celebration of International Education Day, saw the UDSS team emerge victorious, earning a trophy and a cheque.

Led by Acting Vice Principal Alhaji Bukar Abba, the UDSS delegation presented the trophy and cheque to Professor Mele during a courtesy visit to his office at the Muhammadu Buhari Senate Building on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. Professor Mele attributed the students' success to their hard work and dedication, praising their achievement as a testament to the school's commitment to academic excellence.
