University of Maiduguri Opens Hostel Accommodation Booking for Newly Admitted Students

The University of Maiduguri, through its Student Affairs Division, has announced the availability of hostel accommodations for newly admitted students.

The initiative aims to provide a convenient living option for students who wish to reside on campus.

 

Key Information for Newly Admitted Students:

 

Booking Procedure: Newly admitted students interested in securing on-campus accommodation are required to follow a straightforward procedure for booking their space.

PIN Registration: A nominal fee of N1,000 (One thousand naira only) is to be paid for PIN registration at UMFB (Unimaid Micro Finance Bank, University of Maiduguri).

Faculty Clearance: Before visiting the bank, students must ensure they have been cleared and issued an ID number by their respective faculties.

 

Online PIN Acquisition: At the bank, students are required to present their admission letter and ID number to pay and obtain the Online PIN.

 

Procedure for Booking and Payment:

 

Visit the University's portal and log in to your dashboard.

 

Click on the "Hostel" section.

 

Enter the verification PIN provided in the designated area.

 

After PIN verification, students can proceed to book an available hall, block, room, and bed space. Click on the "Reserved" button.

 

Generate an invoice by clicking on the respective button.

 

For successful invoice generation, proceed to payment details.

 

Click on "Pay Now with Remita."

 

If the payment is successful, the accommodation permit will be generated automatically.

 

In case of payment issues, use the "Verify" option, input the RRR number, and generate the permit upon successful verification.

 

Download and print the accommodation permit.

 

Visit your respective hostel with a copy of the permit for clearance at the Hall Officer's Office.

 

Important Note: In the event of network issues or faults after successful payment on the Remita portal, students can use the "Verify" option by inputting their RRR number to proceed.

 

This accommodation initiative enhances the University of Maiduguri's commitment to providing a conducive living and learning environment for its students.
