University of Maiduguri Releases Guidelines on Examination Misconduct and Penalties

University of Maiduguri Releases Guidelines on Examination Misconduct and Penalties

The University of Maiduguri has published a comprehensive list of examination-related misconduct and their corresponding penalties for the 2023/2024 academic session.

 

The university has outlined 11 offenses related to examination misconduct, including possession of unauthorized materials, assistance and collusion, impersonation, and unauthorized devices.

The penalties for these offenses range from suspension for two to four consecutive semesters to expulsion from the university. Specifically, suspension for two consecutive semesters applies to the first offense, while suspension for four consecutive semesters applies to offenses two to four. Expulsion is the penalty for offenses five to nine and eleven. Offense ten carries a penalty of suspension for four consecutive semesters.
