The Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Prof. Ugochukwu Bond Stanley Anyaehie, has donated three Smart Television sets to the student community.

The presentation took place at the Vice-Chancellor’s office on Friday, December 5, 2025, and was witnessed by the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Makodi Biereenu-Nnabugwu.

Prof. Anyaehie, emphasizing his commitment to student welfare, described the donations as a gesture of care from a well-wisher. He encouraged that the Smart TVs be mounted promptly in hostels to allow students to enjoy weekend matches.

In addition, the Vice-Chancellor announced the acquisition of 20 electric tricycles for campus use, aimed at easing transportation challenges for students.

The President of the Students’ Union Government (SUG), Comrade Ochuba Samuel C., received the 65-inch Smart Google TVs on behalf of the students. He expressed heartfelt appreciation for the Vice-Chancellor’s fatherly support and dedication to improving student life.

The initiative reflects Prof. Anyaehie’s broader vision of enhancing campus facilities and student welfare.
