UNN, UNICAL, ABU Lead with Highest Allocation in 2025 Proposed Funding Budget

The 2025 proposed budget has allocated substantial funds to Nigeria's top federal universities.

The University of Nigeria, Nsukka, received the highest allocation of N44.38 billion, followed by the University of Calabar and Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, with allocations of N37.26 billion and N36.74 billion, respectively.

These allocations are expected to strengthen the academic programs and research endeavors of these institutions. The funding will also address infrastructural needs and support faculty development.

 

The top 20 federal universities received significant allocations, with the University of Benin, University of Ibadan, and University of Maiduguri receiving N27.42 billion respectively.
