To be eligible for admission into Yobe State University YSU as a UTME candidate, you need to meet the following requirements:

You must have at least five credit passes in your O’level result (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) including English and Mathematics, not more than two sittings.
You must have chosen YSU as your first choice of institution in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
You must have scored at least 150 in the UTME, which is the minimum cut-off mark for YSU.
You must have participated in the post-UTME screening exercise conducted by YSU and performed well.

YSU Admission Requirements for Direct Entry Candidates
To be eligible for admission into YSU as a direct entry candidate, you need to meet the following requirements:
You must have at least five credit passes in your O’level result (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB) including English and Mathematics, not more than two sittings.
You must have purchased the direct entry form through JAMB and YSU and chosen YSU as your first choice of institution.
You must have a minimum of a merit pass in the National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND), or other advanced-level certificates in related fields, depending on your chosen program.
