Usmanu Danfodiyo University to Host University Scholars' Forum
Attendees will gain insights into scholarship and leadership, innovative funding strategies, and the role of academic excellence in national development.

The University Scholars' Forum, organized in collaboration with LEAP Africa and the Nigeria Youth Future Fund (NYFF), will take place on Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 09:00 AM to 5:00 PM (WAT) at the Main Campus Auditorium of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto.
The forum's theme is "Transforming Scholarships to Leadership: Building the Nigeria We Want." Keynote speakers include:
- Prof. Tukur Baba: "Service to Humanity: The Excellence of Late Yusuf Saidu"
- A. M. Kabir, PhD: "Bridging the Funding Gap: Laying the Foundation for National Development"
- Barr. Hafsat Sahabi Dange: "Innovative Leadership: Harnessing Scholars' Creativity and Entrepreneurial Skills"
- Dr. Muhammad Bashir Bello: "Turning Ideas into Grants: A Strategic Guide to Secure Research Funding"
- Nafiu Garba Hayatu, PhD: "Academic Excellence as a Tool for Nation Building"
The forum will be hosted by Prof. Umar Aliyu, with Prof. Bashir Garba, MFR, Vice Chancellor of UDUS, serving as Chief Host. The event will be convened by Ajibike Abdulbasit Abiodun.
