The Vice-Chancellor of Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Professor Sunday Oge Elom, congratulated newly admitted students of the university on their 12th matriculation ceremony on Friday, the 10th of May, held in Ebonyi State.

In his address, he extended his heartfelt greetings to them, stating, "I have the pleasure to extend to you a warm and heartfelt welcome to the 12th Matriculation Ceremony of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State. I am pleased to welcome the freshmen to one of the most esteemed public universities in Nigeria and a rapidly emerging top education brand on the African continent. I am also thrilled that these bright new faces have been admitted to study at our beloved institution in the 2023/2024 academic session."

Professor Elom promised the students that the university management would continue to work hard to ensure that their academic journey at AE-FUNAI would be rewarding and memorable.
However, he noted that the students themselves have a major role to play in turning his expectations into reality. According to him, "Students should abide by the rules and regulations guiding their academic activities and respect all constituted authorities of the university, and show regard to the staff and fellow students as well as the culture of the host community."
