Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Dominic Nonso Obielosi was elevated to the academic rank of Professor in the Department of Religious Studies at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka.
A distinguished Catholic priest of the Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha, Anambra State, Fr. Prof. Obielosi specializes in Hebrew, Greek, and New Testament Studies within the Department of Religion and Human Relations at UNIZIK. He also serves as the Rector of the Holy Family Youth Village in Amansea, Awka.
His impressive academic credentials include first degrees in Philosophy and Theology, a Master’s degree in Education from St. John's University in New York, a Licentiate in Scriptures from the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome, a Diploma in German Language from Burgfeurestein, a Diploma in Jewish Religious Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a Ph.D. in Biblical Theology from the Gregorian University in Rome.
