In a strategic move to enhance entrepreneurship education, Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano (KHAIRUN) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TechnoServe. The agreement, finalized on March 6, 2025, aims to provide entrepreneurship training for young females aged 13–25, equipping them with essential business skills.

Leading the TechnoServe delegation, Hajiya Maryam Bello Tafida expressed her excitement about the collaboration, emphasizing the organization’s mission of empowering young women through entrepreneurial education. She lauded KHAIRUN’s strong focus on entrepreneurship, noting that the university’s commitment creates a conducive environment for students to develop their skills and thrive as future business owners.

Welcoming the delegation, KHAIRUN’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdulrashid Garba, reaffirmed the institution’s dedication to fostering entrepreneurship. He highlighted that KHAIRUN integrates entrepreneurship courses into its curriculum, ensuring that students graduate with an entrepreneurial mindset, ready to become job creators rather than job seekers. Prof. Garba expressed optimism about the partnership, stating that the MoU would further strengthen KHAIRUN’s entrepreneurship drive and provide students with valuable opportunities for skill development and business growth.
