The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced a change in the exam centre arrangement for several candidates taking the ongoing 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for Private Candidates, Second Series. This adjustment affects candidates initially assigned to specific centres in Lagos, with the changes set to take effect from Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

According to WAEC, candidates originally scheduled to write their exams at the following centres:

  • Digital Bridge Institute CBT (5251806)
  • Mount Gilgad CBT (5250304)
  • Christycaleb CBT (5252606)
  • Best Gift CBT (5250307)

have been reassigned to Florin High School CBT, located in Idimu.

In addition, candidates initially assigned to:

  • Federal College of Education (FCE) (5251505)
  • Lagooz CBT Centre (5251006)

are now directed to the WAEC International Office (WIO) in Agidingbi.

Moreover, candidates scheduled at:

  • ETC/JKK, Ilupeju (5251605)
  • Wisdom House, Aguda Ogba (5250106)

will be relocated to the WAEC Test & Training Centre in Ogba.

This reallocation comes in the midst of the ongoing WASSCE for Private Candidates, which commenced on Friday, October 25, and is scheduled to conclude on Friday, December 20, 2024. Candidates are advised to check their updated examination centres and proceed to the new locations as stipulated by WAEC.

The council's timely notification aims to ensure that affected candidates have ample time to prepare for the transition and locate their new venues.
