The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has commenced its 78th Nigeria Examinations Committee (NEC) meeting to review cases of malpractice and irregularities reported during the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates.
In a statement shared on X, WAEC emphasized the significance of the meeting, noting that decisions made would have far-reaching effects on the educational system and the candidates involved. “The 78th Meeting of the Nigeria Examinations Committee (NEC) begins today to consider & decide on the malpractice/irregularity cases arising from the conduct of WASSCE for School Candidates, 2024,” the council announced.
