Yavala Opens 2024 Batch "B" Stream II Lecture Series for NYSC Plateau Corps Members

Mr. Jonathan I. Yavala, the State Coordinator of NYSC Plateau, has officially opened the 2024 Batch "B" Stream II Lecture Series for Corps Members deployed to the state. The flag-off ceremony took place at the Multipurpose Hall of NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp, WAYE Foundation, Doi-Du, Jos South LGA.

During the ceremony, Mr. Yavala emphasized the importance of security, advising Corps Members to exercise caution to avoid falling victim to criminal activities throughout their service year. He informed the Corps Members that professionals from various fields have been invited to provide lectures on a range of subjects, including NYSC-specific training to prepare them for their duties.

Guest lecturer Mr. Alexander Dalyop from Conflict Security and Development Consult Limited, Abuja, highlighted the significance of being security conscious. He stressed that ensuring personal safety is not solely the government's responsibility and provided security tips to help Corps Members navigate potential dangers during and after the orientation.

In his opening remarks, the Head of Lectures, Mr. Elayo Dangana, urged Corps Members to take the lecture series seriously, pay close attention, and note down important points.
