Zamfara State College of Nursing Sciences, Gusau, recently hosted a heartfelt send-off for the 200 and 300-level Biochemistry and Chemistry students of Federal University Gusau. The event, organized by the College's General Studies Department, was led by Malam Surajo Muhammad Kaura, Director of General Studies.
The send-off ceremony celebrated the students' successful completion of their six-week Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) and provided an opportunity to bid them farewell. Malam Surajo Muhammad Kaura expressed his congratulations to the students for their dedication and commendable performance during their industrial attachment. He encouraged them to maintain their high standards and professionalism as they continue their academic and professional journeys, while also wishing them Allah's guidance.
In his remarks, College Provost Nurse Zayyanu Muhammad Isah lauded the students for their achievements and highlighted the promising future of Zamfara State and Northern Nigeria, emphasizing the vital role that students in Biochemistry and Chemistry play in the economic development of the country. He urged the students to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired during their SIWES in their future endeavors and encouraged them to pursue further studies after completing their degree programs.
The ceremony also featured a vote of thanks from Aliyu Abdul'aziz of the Biochemistry Department, who expressed gratitude to the College management for their warm hospitality.
Key figures present at the event included the Deputy Provost, Malama Fatima Lami Muhammad; College Registrar, Malam Hamza Shehu Masu; Director of Nursing Education, Malam Ibrahim Rabi'u; Director of Midwifery Education, Malama Hajara Abdullahi Magazu; and College Bursar, Alhaji Shehu, among others.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of certificates to the students, marking the successful completion of their industrial training and underscoring the collaborative efforts between Zamfara State College of Nursing Sciences and Federal University Gusau.
