During a recent working visit to the TETFund headquarters in Abuja, Governor Lawal highlighted the urgent need for additional funding to complete several unfinished buildings in Zamfara high schools. He emphasized the importance of these infrastructural projects in providing conducive learning environments for students across the state.

In a statement released by the governor's spokesman, Sulaiman Bala Idris, Governor Lawal also requested special assistance for Zamfara State University and Abdu Gusau Technology College. He expressed concern over the backlog of neglected projects at the university and stressed the need for support to address admission challenges at the technology college.
Governor Lawal underscored the significance of education in addressing various challenges facing Zamfara, particularly issues of insecurity. He highlighted efforts made by his administration to address salary arrears, facilitate student participation in national exams, and provide scholarships for students studying abroad.
