Zaria Police Chief Visits ABU, Emphasizes Security Collaboration

The Area Commander of the Zaria Area Command, Assistant Commissioner of Police AbdulRahman Idris, has paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Prof. Adamu Ahmed.

During the visit, ACP Idris emphasized that security is a collective responsibility and highlighted the importance of synergy and collaboration between the university and the Nigeria Police.

The Area Commander disclosed that the Zaria Area Command has 17 Divisional Offices and is always ready to respond to distress calls on issues affecting the university. He appreciated the university management for the warm reception accorded to him and his team.

In response, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Adamu Ahmed expressed gratitude for the Area Commander's prompt responses to security issues affecting the university. He also acknowledged previous support from the Command and requested that ACP Idris keep the university informed about areas requiring oversight. The meeting underscores the university's commitment to maintaining a secure environment through collaborative efforts with security agencies.
