The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that 10 corps members are scheduled to travel to India on Sunday to participate in a Youth Exchange Programme organized by the Indian National Cadet Corps. The NYSC's Director of Press and Public Relations, Eddy Megwa, stated in a release on Saturday that the pre-departure briefing took place at the Indian High Commission in Abuja. Brigadier General YD Ahmed, the NYSC Director-General, expressed gratitude for the invitation, emphasizing its significance in showcasing the potential of Nigerian youth and fostering an understanding of socio-economic similarities and differences between the two countries.
The Indian High Commissioner in Nigeria, Shri Balasubramanian, acknowledged the NYSC's contributions to Nigeria's development and highlighted the scheme's uniqueness as a factor in its selection for participation in the Youth Exchange Programme alongside other countries.
