Ahead of the 10,000 students' march against electoral violence planned by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Joint Campus Council (JCC), Edo State, the Edo State Police Command has assured the students of maximum security.

State Commissioner of Police CP Nemo Edwin-Iwo provided this assurance during a courtesy visit by NANS leaders, led by Comrade (Amb.) Ehis Daniel Omuokhonlen, Chairman of NANS Edo State, to his office in Benin City.

In response, Omuokhonlen expressed gratitude for the CP’s reception and collaboration. He outlined the specific plans and approved routes for the march, congratulated Edwin-Iwo on his new position, and affirmed ongoing cooperation between NANS and the Edo State police command.

The meeting was attended by NANS Edo State members and senior police officers.
