Aaliyah Duah, a remarkable 20-year-old graduate from Virginia State University, has been honored with the Entrepreneur of the Year award for her exceptional contributions to financial literacy and entrepreneurship within the black community.

Aaliyah earned her bachelor's degree in Business Management from Virginia State University and was recognized as the Historically Black College and Universities (HBCUs) Entrepreneur of the Year. Her accolade stems from her remarkable efforts in promoting financial literacy and entrepreneurship, particularly through her social media platform, Financial Revolution.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York City, Aaliyah's upbringing exposed her to the adverse effects of poor financial decisions within communities. Motivated by this firsthand experience, she founded Financial Revolution, a social media platform dedicated to educating peers about the significance of financial literacy and entrepreneurship, using entertaining and relatable content.

During the pandemic, Aaliyah had an epiphany, realizing the need to prioritize essential values over materialistic pursuits. This realization fueled her determination to initiate a financial revolution within the black community.

While pursuing her degree, Aaliyah published her book, *The Blueprint for Investing*, offering a step-by-step guide to stock market investment. Remarkably, she sold over 100 copies in just two weeks, breaking statistical norms.

In addition to her literary contributions, Aaliyah created the financial literacy game "Rap Cards," utilizing rap lyrics to impart money management skills to young individuals. She also introduced a financial planner, "The Billion Dollar Plan," assisting individuals in mapping out their financial goals.

Aaliyah's commitment extends beyond entrepreneurship, as she served as the Vice President of the Student Government Association at Virginia State University. Her advocacy efforts resulted in securing annual funding for a trip to Ghana, West Africa, allowing students and faculty to explore their African history.
