Abia State University (ABSU) has announced a significant change to its 2024/2025 admissions exercise, shifting from the previously scheduled Post-UTME screening to an O'Level grading system. The decision was made during the Senate's 273rd Regular Meeting, in response to prevailing circumstances.

The University has informed prospective candidates, parents, guardians, and the general public that the Post-UTME screening exercise, originally set to take place from September 4th to 6th, 2024, will no longer be held. Instead, the admissions process will now consider candidates' UTME scores alongside their O'Level or Degree results for online screening.
