ABU Zaria's Plant Science Department Triumphs with Three NPBA Lifetime Achievement Honors and Travel Grants

In a celebration of excellence and dedication to the field of Plant Science, three esteemed faculty members and three outstanding post-graduate students from Ahmadu Bello University's (ABU) Department of Plant Science have received accolades from the Nigerian Plant Breeders Association (NPBA).

The prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award by NPBA has been conferred upon Professors Mary Yeye, S.G. Ado, and C.A. Echekwu for their remarkable contributions to the realm of plant science. Their unwavering commitment and expertise have made them shining stars in the academic and research community. This recognition will be celebrated at the inaugural NPBA conference slated for September 25-26, 2023, in Abuja.

Furthermore, the Department of Plant Science at ABU Zaria is proud to announce that three of its post-graduate students have been selected as recipients of the highly competitive NPBA Travel Grant, each valued at N100,000. This grant offers these budding scholars the opportunity to attend the forthcoming NPBA conference, where they can further enrich their knowledge and network with leading figures in plant science.
