Adeyemi Education Varsity Inaugurates Academic Staff Transition Committee
The Academic Staff of Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED), Ondo, has inaugurated a five-man Academic Staff Transition Committee to oversee its affairs pending the university’s formal admission into the national body of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

The Academic Staff of Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED), Ondo, has inaugurated a five-man Academic Staff Transition Committee to oversee its affairs pending the university’s formal admission into the national body of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
In a release issued by the body and signed by its Secretary, Comrade (Dr.) I. R. Irughe, it was stated that “in view of the end of tenure of the Chapter Executive Council of the defunct Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU), the congress held on 19th August, 2025 resolved that a transition committee of Academic Staff be put in place to liaise with the Zonal and National bodies of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) for admission to its fold.”
The statement further listed those elected as members of the new committee: Dr. O. E. Ajisafe (Chairman); Dr. A. V. Omojeje (Vice Chairman); Dr. I. R. Irughe (Secretary); Mrs. M. O. Oyedeji (Treasurer); and Dr. F. Ajewole (Public Relations Officer).
