Admiralty University VC Leads High-Powered Mission to Abuja to Transform ICT Infrastructure

In a proactive move to cement Admiralty University of Nigeria (ADUN) as a premier hub for technological excellence, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Christopher Bankole Ndubuisi Ogbogbo, led a high-powered management delegation to the nation’s capital for a series of strategic partnership visits.

‎​The delegation, which included the University Bursar, Commodore EA Onu, and Captain (Professor) I.R. Saidu,The Deputy Vice Chancellor, focused on forging alliances with key federal agencies to drive infrastructure development and digital transformation within the institution.

‎​The University team engaged in high-level discussions with two pillars of Nigeria’s tech landscape:

‎​National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA): The team was warmly received by the Acting MD, Mr. Olawunmi Oladejo. The talks centered on aligning the University’s curriculum and research capabilities with national digital economy goals.

‎ Galaxy Backbone Ltd: Meeting with the Managing Director, Professor Ibrahim A. Adeyanju, the delegation explored technical collaborations aimed at enhancing the University’s digital infrastructure.

The primary focus of these visits is the equipping of Admiralty University’s newly established ICT Hub. While the physical structure stands as a testament to the University’s growth, the current mission seeks to:

‎ Acquire Standardized Technology: Sourcing industry-leading hardware and software to ensure students train on cutting-edge platforms.

‎ Foster Research Partnerships: Creating a pipeline for collaborative innovation between the University and the public sector.
