Afe Babalola University Achieves Global Recognition

Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), has been ranked among the top 100 universities in the world, according to the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025.

The university's Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olasupo Ijabadeniyi, announced this achievement at a press conference in Ado-Ekiti.

ABUAD is ranked 84th in the world and 3rd in Africa. The university excels in several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Affordable & Clean Energy, Climate Change, No Poverty, and Partnership for Goals.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor attributed the university's success to its serene and conducive learning environment, well-equipped laboratories and workshops, full accreditation, and research and innovation initiatives. ABUAD has been ranked 1st in Nigeria for four consecutive years.

The university plans to continue its efforts to provide quality education and raise a new generation of transformational leaders. The Acting Vice-Chancellor appealed to the Federal and Ekiti State governments to support the university's initiatives and infrastructure development.
