Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has released the schedule for its 45th Convocation Ceremony, inviting members of the university community and the general public to participate.

According to a bulletin issued on Monday, 15 December 2025, the convocation programme will include a pre-convocation lecture and the main convocation ceremony.

The pre-convocation lecture is set for Friday, 30 January 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the Abdullahi Mahadi Conference Centre, Main Campus, Samaru, Zaria. It will be delivered by Her Excellency Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, GCON, Director-General of the World Trade Organisation, and chaired by His Excellency Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR, former President of Nigeria.

The main convocation ceremony will take place on Saturday, 31 January 2026, at Mamman Kontagora Square, Main Campus, Samaru, Zaria, with proceedings expected to begin at 10:00 a.m.

The university management expressed that it would be greatly honoured by the attendance of invited guests and members of the public at the convocation activities.
