Ahmadu Bello University Central Store Receives Major Facelift

The Central Store of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has undergone significant renovations under the 2021 and 2023 capital appropriations projects. The upgrades were completed in two phases, with the first phase finished on August 18, 2021, at a cost of over N27 million, and the second phase completed on September 6, 2023, costing N19 million.

The renovations, carried out by Bassey Global Services Ltd., included roof replacements, new doors and windows, plumbing and electrical installations, tiling, and painting. The project also involved office partitioning, refurbishment of warehouse steel racks, industrial cleaning, the supply of 200 steel pallets, and the provision of new furniture.

Director of Physical Planning and Municipal Services at ABU, Arc. Suleiman Mohammed, expressed satisfaction with the completed work. He explained that the project aligns with the Medium Term Sector Strategic Plan and has already been handed over to the university.
