The University of Lagos (UNILAG) is set to hold the 28th Inaugural Lecture of the 2023/2024 academic session, to be delivered by Professor Ikenna Charles Onyema of the Department of Marine Sciences, Faculty of Science. The lecture, titled "From Microscopic, through Wonderful to Majestic: Musings of a Marine Phycologist", will take place on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. at the J. F. Ade Ajayi Auditorium, UNILAG, Akoka.

The Vice-Chancellor of UNILAG, Professor Folasade T. Ogunsola, OON, FAS, will preside over the event, which promises to offer valuable insights into the world of marine phycology—a field focusing on the study of algae in marine ecosystems.
