Ahmadu Bello University Hosts Academy of Natural Science and Engineering in Nigeria

The Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) has played host to members of the Board of Trustees of the Academy of Natural Science and Engineering in Nigeria (ANSEN), who paid a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

Led by ANSEN President, Prof. Danladi S Matawal, the team commended ABU's strategic position and contributions to research, teaching, and learning. Prof. Matawal explained that ABU was selected to host ANSEN's public lecture due to its reputation and commitment to academic excellence.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, expressed his appreciation for the visit and the selection of ABU to host ANSEN's Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) and Public Lecture. He emphasized the importance of establishing a cordial relationship between ABU and ANSEN, describing it as a significant development for the university.

The visit marks the beginning of a three-day series of activities by ANSEN Fellows at ABU, aimed at fostering collaboration and advancing scientific knowledge in Nigeria.
