Ahmadu Bello University Launches Postgraduate Diploma in Physics for Third-Class and Related Degree Holders

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria has introduced a Postgraduate Diploma in Physics, filling a long-standing gap in its postgraduate offerings. The program is specifically designed for individuals with third-class degrees in Physics or those who earned related degrees outside the standard B.Sc. Physics program.

With a globally aligned curriculum, experienced faculty, and cutting-edge facilities, this PGD program opens doors for students to advance into higher-level studies and pursue Master’s degrees in Physics and related fields.

Applicants must meet both the university’s general postgraduate requirements and specific departmental prerequisites, including relevant 'O' Level credits in English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and another science subject. The part-time program will span one academic session and will involve coursework, research, and written exams.
