Ahmadu Bello University Tops National Tertiary Admissions Performance-Merit Award

Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has emerged as Nigeria's best-performing tertiary institution, winning the National Tertiary Admissions' Performance-Merit Award (NATAP-M) for the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 admission years. The university scored 14 points and received a grant of ₦500 million.

The University of Ilorin came second with 9 points and ₦75 million, while Nile University of Nigeria placed third with 6 points and ₦25 million. The awards recognize excellence among Nigerian tertiary institutions based on performance in areas such as admissions and diversity.
