AHRIMPN Honours FUOTUOKE Vice Chancellor with Leadership and Service Award
The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Otuoke (FUO), Prof. Teddy Charles Adias, has been recognized with a Leadership and Service Award by the Bayelsa State Chapter of the Association of Health Records and Information Management Practitioners of Nigeria (AHRIMPN).
The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Otuoke (FUO), Prof. Teddy Charles Adias, has been recognized with a Leadership and Service Award by the Bayelsa State Chapter of the Association of Health Records and Information Management Practitioners of Nigeria (AHRIMPN).
The award was presented during a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. Comrade Dogiye E. Lucky, Chairman of AHRIMPN Bayelsa Chapter, commended Prof. Adias for his outstanding contributions to capacity building, innovation, and societal development. He described the recognition as a testament to the Vice Chancellor’s support and collaboration in advancing the profession and its objectives.
As part of the visit, Comrade Lucky reiterated key discussions from prior engagements and formally invited Prof. Adias to serve as the keynote speaker at the Association’s Annual Week, slated for December 11-12, 2024.
In response, Prof. Adias expressed gratitude for the honour and reaffirmed his commitment to partnering with AHRIMPN. He revealed plans to introduce Health Information degree programs in two faculties at FUO, contingent on the Association’s ability to supply qualified personnel for the initiative. Additionally, he accepted the keynote speaker invitation and provided strategic advice to the Association on enhancing individual careers and collective impact.
The AHRIMPN delegation included Comrade Ayebanengimone Victor (Vice Chairman), Comrade Akegwure Austin (Secretary), and other key members such as Letter Timpre Deinduomo (Chairman, FMC Yenagoa), Osobere Onikobhiriba (Elders Forum Member), and Marvellous T. Obom, among others.
The recognition underscores Prof. Adias’s leadership and his dedication to fostering growth in health information management and academia.
