Telecommunication Company, Airtel Nigeria, has unveiled a groundbreaking education reform plan aimed at revolutionizing the country's deteriorating educational system through the use of advanced technologies. Lagos State Commissioner of Basic Education, Jamiu Alli-Balogun, lauded organizations that had collaborated with the government to support education initiatives.

Telecommunication Company, Airtel Nigeria, has unveiled a groundbreaking education reform plan aimed at revolutionizing the country's deteriorating educational system through the use of advanced technologies. 

This announcement was made by the Director of Corporate Communications and CSR at Airtel Nigeria, Femi Adeniran, during the recent '1 Million Teachers' Blackbelt graduation ceremony in Lagos.

The event, co-sponsored by Airtel Nigeria, featured a panel discussion titled “Leveraging Expertise and Innovations for Advancing Educational Reforms in Africa". The panel featured distinguished members such as Patrick Egbunonu, a faculty member at St. Lawrence College in Canada; Emmanuel Asika, the Country Head at HP Nigeria; and Olanrewaju Oniyitan, the Project Director at the Seed Care and Support Foundation.

During the event, Adeniran stressed the importance of quality delivery as a crucial element for effective school marketing in the digital era. He emphasized the need for impactful programs that resonate with the community, also highlighting the significance of direct communication through platforms like Parent-Teacher Association meetings.

Adeniran underlined the role of social media in enhancing the reputation of educational institutions, recommending continuous engagement with stakeholders on platforms like Instagram and LinkedIn. He reiterated Airtel's dedication to education, citing the company's $57 million partnership with UNICEF, which has facilitated digital education in 960 public schools, benefiting over 600,000 students.

In response, the Lagos State Commissioner of Basic Education, Jamiu Alli-Balogun, lauded organizations that had collaborated with the government to support education initiatives. He urged teachers to embrace technological advancements to stay ahead of their students, underscoring the importance of holding their profession in high esteem.
