Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into a two-year Higher National Diploma Programmes at the Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Myschoolnews report.

1. SCHOOL OF APPLIED SCIENCES                 

Higher National Diploma in
(a) Computer Science
(b) Statistics
(c) Science Laboratory Technology with
Options in:
Biochemistry
Chemistry
Environmental Biology
Microbiology
Physics with Electronics

  • The entry requirement into the Higher National Diploma in Computer Science, Statistics, and Science Laboratory Technology is at least a Lower Credit pass at the National Diploma level obtained from an NBTE –Accredited Institution. Candidate must have satisfied the minimum requirements for the National Diploma Programme in Computer Science, Statistics, and Science Laboratory Technology respectively, and completed one year of post-ND Industrial work experience.
  • Candidates with a pass level in National Diploma in Statistics, Computer Science or Science Laboratory Technology obtained from NBTE –accredited Programme and who would produce evidence of at least two years post-ND industrial work experience, may also apply.

2. SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT STUDIES
(a) Accountancy
(b) Business Administration
(c) Office Technology and Management

(2a) The entry requirement into the Higher National Diploma in Accountancy, Business Administration and Office Technology & Management is at least a lower Credit Pass at the National Diploma level obtained from an NBTE-accredited institution in Accountancy, Business Administration, Office Technology & Management, Marketing, Banking & Finance, and Public Administration respectively and completed the one year post –ND Industrial work experience.

(2b) Candidates with a pass level in National Diploma in Accountancy, Business Administration, Office Technology & Management, Marketing, Banking & Finance, and Public Administration and who would produce evidence of at least two years post-ND Industrial work experience, may also apply.

3. SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATION ARTS
Higher National Diploma in
Mass Communication

(3a) The entry requirement into the Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication is at least a lower Credit Pass in National Diploma in Mass Communication obtained from an NBTE-accredited institution. Candidates must have also satisfied the minimum requirements for the National Diploma Programme in Mass Communication and completed one-year post-ND industrial work experience.

(3b) Candidates with a Pass level in National Diploma in Mass Communication and who would produce Evidence of at least two years post–ND industrial work experience may also apply.

4. SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING
Higher National Diploma in:
Electrical/Electronic Engineering with options in:
Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
Instrumentation and Control
Power and Machines

(4a) The entry requirement into the Higher National Diploma in Electrical /Electronic Engineering Technology is at least National Diploma at a Lower Credit level obtained from the NBTE–accredited Electrical/ Electronic Engineering Programme. Candidates must have also satisfied the minimum requirements for the National Diploma Programme in Electrical / Electronic Engineering and completed the one-year industrial work experience.

(4b) Candidates with a pass level in National Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and who have had at least two years post-ND industrial work experience may also apply.

5. SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES
Higher National Diploma in:
Architectural Technology
Building Technology
Estate Management & Valuation
Quantity Surveying
Urban and Regional Planning

(5a) The entry requirements into the Higher National Diploma in Architectural Technology, Building Technology, Estate Management & Valuation, Quantity Surveying, and Urban & Regional Planning are at least a National Diploma at Lower Credit Level obtained from an NBTE-accredited institution.

Candidates must have satisfied the minimum requirements for the National Diploma program in Architectural Technology, Building Technology, Estate Management & Valuation, Quantity Surveying, and Urban & Regional Planning and completed the one-year industrial work experience scheme.

(5b) Candidates with a pass level in National Diploma in Architectural Technology, Building Technology, Estate Management & Valuation, Quantity Surveying or Urban & Regional Planning and who have had at least two years post–ND industrial work experience scheme may also apply.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

  1. Candidates should visit the school website https://www.akwaibompoly.edu.ng. Click the online application and then generate an invoice with the following details: Phone number and Name.
  2. Candidates should go to any Commercial Bank with their invoice (RRR Number) to purchase an electronic application PIN and make a payment of N 8,000.00 (eight thousand naira only) and obtain a PIN (inclusive of Bank and other charges)
  3. Application should be completed by visiting https://www/akwaibompoly.edu.ng with the obtained pin to complete the application with the following steps:
    Highlight ‘’Admissions’ and select ‘’Application Forms’ then select your choice of program and insert the obtained PIN (Confirmation Order) in the appropriate form to complete the application.
  4. Candidates should upload the following documents to the Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic Portal:
    i. Attach one (1) year industrial attachment letter
    ii Official ND Transcript / Statement of result
    iii Photocopy of the registration receipt

N/B: The screening date shall be announced for applicants to physically present themselves and original copies of their credentials for screening.
