Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil Receives Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf on Impromptu Inspection Visit
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf paid an impromptu inspection visit to Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, where he assessed ongoing projects and identified areas needing government support.

The Vice-Chancellor of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, Prof. Musa Tukur Yakasai, received the Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, on an impromptu inspection visit to the university. The governor's visit aimed to assess ongoing activities within the institution and identify key areas requiring government intervention and support.
This visit marks a historic moment as it is Gov. Yusuf’s first official visit to the university since assuming office. His presence reaffirms the administration’s commitment to strengthening the educational sector and ensuring a conducive learning environment for students and faculty members.
During the visit, Gov. Yusuf inspected critical infrastructure projects, including the convocation arena, the newly constructed science complex, the new engineering facility, the male and female hostels, and an extension site located east of the university along the Maiduguri Road bypass. Additionally, he visited Government Secondary School Commercial, Wudil, and other key locations on campus. The governor identified areas that require urgent government attention and pledged to address them accordingly.
In a significant move to support the university’s expansion, Gov. Yusuf approved the allocation of 100 hectares of land to ADUSTECH. This allocation will facilitate the establishment of a new Senate Building and a Faculty of Engineering, reinforcing the state government’s commitment to improving higher education and fostering academic excellence.
Accompanying the governor on the visit were Deputy Governor and Commissioner for Higher Education, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, Commissioner for Land and Physical Planning, Hon. Abduljabbar Garko, Commissioner for Project Procurement Monitoring and Evaluation, Hon. Nura Iro Ma’aji, Commissioner for Rural Development, Hon. Hamza Safiyanu, Chief Protocol to the Governor, Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Rogo, Executive Secretary of the Guidance and Counselling Board, Hon. Ado Muhammad Danjummai, Executive Chairman of Wudil Local Government, Hon. Abba Muhammad Tukur, and other top government officials.
