The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have expressed their desire to co-operate with Corps members in the fight against corruption.
This was revealed at the NYSC Lagos Orientation Camp in Iyana-Ipaja as the agency urged the corps members to take it up as a responsibility to educate people on the dangers of corruption and report corrupt cases to the agency.
At the event monitored by Myschoolnews, both agencies also spoke to the popularity of cybercrime among youths in the society, calling for a stop to its practice that keeps staining our nation.
In its speech, the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) charged youths to be 'whistleblowers' as the country intensifies its fight against corruption.
Speaking at the event, Titilola Tokelawa, an official of the Public Directorate of the agency said that poverty and unemployment should not be an excuse to get involved in corrupt practices.
She called on corps members to become part of the EFCC CDS group where they will join the advocacy arm of the agency to educate youths about the dangers of corruption.
