Arewa Youths and Students Parliament Honored KHAIRUN Vice-Chancellor

The Vice-Chancellor of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University (KHAIRUN), Prof. Abdulrashid Garba, on Monday, 11th August 2025, received a delegation from Arewa Youths and Students Parliament at his office.

Speaking during the visit, the leader of the delegation explained that the parliament seeks to recognise personalities and institutions whose contributions to youths' empowerment, community development, and nation building have been exemplary. He stated that their honour serves as a veritable tool to promote excellence, credibility, hard work, and diligence in all sectors of the society.

He further noted that Prof. Garba was selected as one of the few Nigerians whose character, vision, humility, courage, commitment, mentorship, and role modelling stand as a pillar of support and hope for the community. According to him, such achievements deserve recognition to inspire present and future generations.

In his response, Prof. Garba warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed deep gratitude for being chosen among many deserving individuals for the award. He thanked the parliament for the honour and assured them of his continued support. He also offered words of advice to the students and encouraged them to remain focused, dedicated, and committed to excellence.

He pledged to assist the parliament in any way possible whenever the need arises.
